Climate, Renewable Energy and Water: A Science-Policy Dialogue and Technical Training Workshops

Continuing the co-development of climate information services, jointly by policy makers, water and energy managers, and scientists, the CIREG project holds

i) a science-policy dialogue and

ii) a series of technical workshops between 17, 18 & 27 November 2020, and 1 December 2020.

The objectives of these meetings are

i) to foster the dialogue between policy makers and climate scientists, on the impacts of climate change, prospects for renewable energy, and opportunities for integrated climate-smart management of renewable energy and water for achieving the SDGs, and

ii) to generate additional science-based inputs for the dialogue while increasing the skills of West African technicians (e.g. Ghana/Burkina Faso) on the WEAP/LEAP water and energy models.

While the WEAP/LEAP training workshops (17, 18 & 27 Nov 2020) are targeting a more technical audience, WASCAL, SEI and partners are pleased to invite you to the science-policy dialogue on December 1st, 2020, from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm.
